So I just got a full DJ set up in my house (Turntables & a Mixer) & I figured I’d put them to good use. I’m starting a series of mixes where the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is jump on the 1′s & 2′s. I’m just curious to see how a night’s sleep can effect my song selections. Who knows?

Hey ya’ll,
I just finished up a new mix that I’m quite proud of. As a whole it’s quite different than my Slow your Roll series which consists of mostly House/Electro. This time around, I’ve compiled (and edited) tracks that are very dear to my heart; songs that I listen to when I’m in need of an escape. I’m a sucker for love ballads & funky basslines, so you’ll hear that throughout. I’ve also squeezed in some NeoSoul and afro/latin inspired beats.

Woof the Phonocator and I have been friends for years now. We met at WBMB–our college radio station–and I’ve always had the utmost respect for his dedication to & knowledge of all things music.
